Twice in a Blue Moon

Tate Jones (also a Tate Buttler), felt an instant connection with someone which she thought as lust at first but held the promise of so much more. 

Sam Brandis became her first love which soon turned into an unexpected first breakup. And if this breakup gave wealth for one, it gave wealth+popularity for the other.

Tate lives with her mother and grandmother in a small town in Northern California. Everyone knows everyone there. She always longed for more but had to restrict herself to that small town to keep her identity as a secret for which the media would die to know.

(And you know what the secret is ?? Tate is the long lost daughter of  Eon Buttler - the famous celebrity. Now Shhhh !!)

So Tate Jones and her grandmother are on a vacation in London to celebrate Tate's 18th birthday. Early on in her vacation, she meets Sam Brandis, a college student, who is also on a similar vacation with his grandfather. Over the course of few late night conversations, they were soon drawn to each other.

Tate gives her heart to Sam (not literally OKAY!!) and also reveals her celebrity-ish secrets which no one knows. Turns out, Sam betrays her and tips everything to the media. 

That's it. End of 1st half - "Once in a Blue Moon" !!

14 years later...

Tate is now a big time actress. Though she was broken inside with Sam's betrayal, she took the opportunity to change the course of her career. After several award winning films, she still feels nervous for the new film - only because it's her first film with her dad. It's a big deal for her, as she thinks this might change the dynamics of the real father-daughter relationship.

To her surprise (No, It's a SHOCK actually), she also had to unwind her bonding with Sam. 

But why Sam out of no where? 

Because, he is the screen writer of the very same film !!

Yes..now this is their 'Twice in a Blue Moon' moment. From here on, the actual second half begins. Further story is all about...How they face each? And if they did, will they talk to each other? Are they still in love? Will Tate forgive him? etc etc...

Although I had this sense of how the story is unwinding, it is not too predictable. 

Twice in a Blue Moon is by Christina Lauren. This is my first book from this author(s) and I will not say that it is too boring but is definetely not too interesting. I came to know that her(their) other books are much more interesting than this one in terms of humor, emotion and chemistry. 

Nonetheless, it's a decent read for someone who can read a lot of books and forget this as soon as they read another good book. But for those, who filter the reviews from all the sites and then choose meticulously before picking up any book, I do not recommend this !

P. S : I actually slept in between and woke up after a while. And guess what? I still understood the story.😉 (Just like our daily serials, where you can understand the whole week's plot by just watching the last day's episode !!)

P. P. S : By the way, Christina Lauren is not one woman. They are two - Christina and Lauren !!😂
